The EPMA Lab possesses all the technology and knowledge necessary for the qualitative and quantitative determination of all the chemical components of a one-micron cube of solid material, such as metal alloys, glass, polymers, powders, etc.

            The EPMA and its peripheral devices at the ENSCL create a laboratory in Northern France with unique diagnostic capabilities.

            The EMPA Lab possesses:

• A Cameca SX100 EPMA
• 3 mechanical polishers
• 2 ultramicrotomes for soft materials (polymers)
• 1 carbon coater
